Basement Bungalow
This basement has a fair amount of natural light so I went with Benjamin Moore Lead Gray for the walls. This deep neutral (somewhere between gray, dark blue and dark green) makes for a perfect backdrop for the new light gray sectional and pops of green and marigold decor. The wall-to-wall carpeting was replaced with luxury vinyl flooring, which is always a great choice for its scratch resistance and waterproof qualities. The area rug makes for a soft landing underfoot. The basement is now more functional and inviting for this family to enjoy.

A dry bar with mini-fridge filled in this previously forgotten corner

A wall and pocket door replaced the open stairwell - creating a perfect space to mount the TV, and provides sound reduction and privacy that was previously lacking

The rich wall color comes alive under the adequate lighting provided by the newly installed recessed lights

Pops of marigold lend a cheery contrast against the dark walls
